Robert Nicholas 'Bo' Hines is an American businessman, former government official, and former college football player from North Carolina. He played college football at Yale University and later earned a law degree from Wake Forest University. Hines ran for the U.S. House of Representatives in 2022 as a Republican but lost in the primary. He served as a White House adviser on digital assets under President Donald Trump. In September 2025, he became CEO of Tether U.S., the American division of the cryptocurrency company Tether Limited. Hines is known for his work in digital asset policy and his transition from sports to public service.
