Colin Simmons is an American college football defensive end for the Texas Longhorns. Born in Dallas, Texas, he attended Duncanville High School, where he was an All-America and three-time all-district honoree, helping his team win two state championships. He set a school record with 22.5 sacks as a junior and was named Dallas Morning News Defensive Player of the Year. Simmons was selected to play in the 2024 Under Armour All-America Game. He is known for his pass-rushing ability and is considered one of the top defensive players in the 2024 recruiting cycle. At Texas, he wears jersey number 1 and plays as a linebacker and defensive end.
